The Leienpaleis is a new, non-subsidised cultural center with a bar and restaurant concept. Different cultural cells present a diverse program in cooperation with each other. The authentic city palace offers a stylish setting for catering activities. Expect performances, exhibitions, parties, meetings and workshops in the Leienpaleis.
No, there is a restaurant in the Leienpaleis, but this is not our only activity. The resto hatch complements our cultural events and other celebrations.
Yes, for different types of private and corporate events. We go for tailor-made events where we are very flexible. For more information mail to events@leienpaleis.be
From February, the Leienpaleis is open from 10 a.m. We are closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays. Private or company parties are possible on those days. Sometimes we are also closed on other days due to a private event.
Yes, when we are open, you can always come and admire the Leienpaleis. In addition, efforts were made in the palace to make the property accessible to people with reduced mobility.
No, the Leienpaleis was built by Guillaume Dhanis, a successful Antwerp merchant without titles of nobility. The official name of the building is Herenhuis Dhanis, but whoever enters here associates the building with the Italian city palaces rather than with the stately mansions that are numerous in Antwerp.
No, the Leienpaleis is a project of Legendarisch Creatief bv. We do not want to depend on subsidies to be able to develop our projects. We generate income through private investments, location rental and catering activities.
Absolute. If you come by public transport, you can get off at the Antwerp National Bank stop. Cyclists can safely store their bicycles in the bicycle shed and there are three Velo stations in the vicinity of the palace.
